CHRISTOPHER BURTON
(2015)
Throughout my practice Christopher Burton focuses on creating drawings that immerse the viewer in a deep abstract space, by exploring drawing and using architecture as a starting point. The architectural aspect stems from travelling to Copenhagen and sketching the city from high vantage points. The sketches from Copenhagen translated into highly dense cityscapes that were a form of visual mapping. Burton has continued to push these drawings into broader space orientated works that build up various areas of depth and weight through tonal shifts.
